Ryle High School in Louisville has a 14-year-old incoming freshman named Sydney Moss, and even though she’s just a freshman, she’s expected to be a star on the varsity basketball team this year. That’s no surprise, as she’s 5-foot-10 and a great athlete — and because her father is Patriots wide receiver Randy Moss.
The Louisville Courier-Journal reports:
Bret McCormick of the All-Star Girls Report expects her to grow to 6-1 and play major-conference basketball.
“She’s kind of got the genes of a Randy Moss; he was a freak athlete,” McCormick said. “She has really come on the scene. She’s really starting to shoot the three now. A lot of the big-time (schools) are starting to take notice of her. The potential is there.”
Randy, who was a teenager when Sydney was born, no longer has a relationship with Sydney’s mother, but he does occasionally make it out to watch her games. And Sydney said she first got into basketball because, “my dad was into it.”
