The Patriots made it through minicamp without any major injuries or setbacks. In fact, no minor issues cropped up either. All in all, it was a productive session of installation, which should get the players on the right track by the time the real training camp begins at the end of July.
There hasn't been a lot of noise on the personnel front, either. The Patriots did reach agreement with rookie offensive lineman Rich Ohrnberger, who is the first draftee to sign his contract, and they also released linebacker Antonio Appleby in camp.
The only other major news is the official start date of camp, which is July 30. Head coach Bill Belichick referred to the minicamp session as an installation period in which everyone absorbs the playbook so that no surprises will occur when camp begins.
