NFL Week 10

NFL Week 10Byline: Ryan O'Halloran, THE WASHINGTON TIMES

DENVER Broncos (6-2) at WASHINGTON Redskins (2-6)

Time: 1 p.m. | TV: Ch. 9

Line: Broncos by 3 1/2

The Broncos' defense has twice as many sacks (26) as the offense has allowed (13). Elvis Dumervil is tied for an NFL-best 10.5 sacks and is on pace to top Simon Fletcher's franchise record (16, set in 1992).

The Redskins have two problems - they're banged-up and don't have enough good players. Broncos 34-24

BUFFALO Bills (3-5) at TENNESSEE Titans (2-6)

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: Titans by 8

The Bills are 14-6 after a bye. Trent Edwards, returning from a concussion that sidelined him for two games, has posted a 100 passer rating or better in two of his past three road games.

Interesting times in Tennessee. Vince Young has come on to win twostraight. Does that mean Jeff Fisher moves out? Titans 17-7

ATLANTA Falcons (5-3) at CAROLINA PANTHERS (3-5)

Time: 1 p.m. | TV: Ch. 45

Line: Falcons by 1 1/2

Atlanta's Michael Turner ranks seventh in the NFL with 720 yards, including 166 and two TDs vs. the Redskins. Carolina's DeAngelo Williams ranks fifth with 768 yards, including 149 and two scores vs. the Saints.

Atlanta doesn't have the personnel to match up with the league's best teams, but it will beat up on teams such as Carolina. Falcons 20-16

NEW ORLEANS Saints (8-0) at ST. LOUIS Rams (1-7)

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: Saints by 14

The Saints are averaging an NFL-leading 37.9 points and have scored 30 or more for four straight games, tying a franchise mark. The Saints are 8-0 for the first time ever and are seeking the third nine-game winning streak in franchise history.

Huge but reachable spread for New Orleans, which starts a stretch of four road games in five weeks. Saints 41-14

DETROIT Lions (1-7) at MINNESOTA Vikings (7-1)

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: Vikings by 17

The Lions have lost 18 of their past 20 games against the Vikings and 11 straight at the Metrodome. Most of the scores haven't been lopsided, though. Of those 11 losses since 1997, six were by seven points or fewer.

Huge but reachable spread for the coming-off-the-bye Vikings, who start a stretch of four home games in five weeks. Vikings 38-14

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (1-7) at MIAMI Dolphins (3-5)

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: Dolphins by 10

Miami has lost three consecutive games in the series and last beatthe Bucs on Dec. 1, 1991. Dolphins wideout Ted Ginn Jr. leads the NFL in kickoff return average at 32.6. The Bucs' Clifton Smith is thirdat 30.6.

Coming off two straight division road games, Miami is 3-5 and has little margin for error. That urgency will show. Dolphins 24-16

CINCINNATI Bengals (6-2) at PITTSBURGH Steelers (6-2)

Time: 1 p.m. | TV: Ch. 13

Line: Steelers by 7

The Bengals and Steelers are facing each other with winning records during the second half of season for only the fourth time since 1970. The Bengals won each of the previous three games (2005, 1990, 1981) and went on to win the division each time.

First place in the AFC North is on the line. Pittsburgh rebounds from a short week to move into first place. Steelers 24-21

JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (4-4) at NEW YORK Jets (4-4)

Time: 1 p.m.

Line: Jets by 7

Running back Maurice Jones-Drew ranks sixth in the NFL with 737 yards rushing and leads the league with 11 TDs, including six in past three games. He needs 63 all-purpose yards to reach 7,000 for his career.

Jacksonville is 4-4, but two of its wins were over the Chiefs and Rams by a combined six points. Jets 27-14

DALLAS Cowboys (6-2) at GREEN BAY Packers (4-4)

Time: 4:15 p.m. | TV: Ch. 5

Line: Cowboys by 3

The Cowboys have won four straight, their longest winning streak since capturing seven straight in 2007. The Packers are reeling from two straight losses, including a defeat at previously winless Tampa Bay last Sunday.

Think the Redskins' pass protection has been spotty? Packers QB Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 37 times. Cowboys 30-24

KANSAS CITY Chiefs (1-7) at OAKLAND Raiders (2-6)

Time: 4:05 p.m.

Line: Raiders by 2

Kansas City has won six straight in Oakland and is looking to become the first team to win seven in a row there. Five of games have been decided by seven points or fewer.

This is the dog game of the week, and the sections of empty seats in Oakland will confirm these teams are going nowhere. Chiefs 7-3

SEATTLE Seahawks (3-5) at ARIZONA Cardinals (5-3)

Time: 4:15 p.m.

Line: Cardinals by 8 1/2

Seattle's 14 yards rushing - on 11 carries - against Arizona on Oct. 18 were the fewest in franchise history. The Seahawks' three points against the Cardinals were the fewest for them at home in seven years.

Arizona is this year's up-and-down team (great one week, awful thenext). The Cardinals won last week at Chicago. Seahawks 27-24

PHILADELPHIA Eagles (5-3) at SAN DIEGO Chargers (5-3)

Time: 4:15 p.m. | TV: Ch. 45

Line: Chargers by 1

The Eagles haven't played in San Diego since Oct. 18, 1998, when they had the ignominious distinction of being one of four teams to lose to Ryan Leaf. The Chargers won 13-10 that day.

The Eagles are coming off a tough home loss. The Chargers are coming off a great road win, but they can't handle prosperity. Eagles 34-29

NEW ENGLAND Patriots (6-2) at INDIANAPOLIS Colts (8-0)

Time: 8:20 p.m. | TV: Chs. 4, 11

Line: Colts by 3

Randy Moss needs 92 yards to pass James Lofton for sixth on the NFL's career list for receiving yards. Moss also needs eight catches tobecome the 11th player in league history with 900 receptions.

Tom Brady will be able to take advantage of Indianapolis' depletedsecondary while evading the Colts' pass rush. Patriots 35-30

BALTIMORE Ravens (4-4) at CLEVELAND BROWNS (1-7)

Time: 8:30 p.m., Monday | TV: ESPN

Line: Ravens by 11

Baltimore scored on its first four offensive possessions, destroying Cleveland in the first meeting between these teams. The Ravens have dropped four of five since a 3-0 start and have lost five straight on Monday night.

Watch Devils-Flyers on Versus instead of this train wreck. Ravens 30-7
