Quick hits MIDWEEK MUSINGS

ANGELO'S TEAM A FIXER-UPPER

Despite the Bears' record, the team did get the quarterback spot right when it acquired Jay Cutler. Now all general manager Jerry Angelo has to do is fix most of the rest of the positions. Which puts him in an unenviable position -- although not as unenviable as being out of a job or being the Bears' quarterback.

- Signing veteran shortstop Omar Vizquel is good insurance for the White Sox -- well, against any charges that the team is in the midst of a youth movement.

- New Cubs marketing chief Wally Hayward will find under new ownership of the Ricketts family that the sky's the limit. OK, maybe only as high as the Wrigleyville rooftops -- or obstruction thereof.

- On ''Bearly Legal'' with Robin Earl and David Spada at noon today on talkzone.com (and subsequently on podcast at 670thescore.com), former Bears Wilber Marshall and Gary Fencik and former New York Giants player Leonard Marshall will be guests. The show next week is to feature comedian Tom Dreesen and former NFL player Tony Mandarich.

- For golf fans with some forethought, clubhouse tickets for the 2010 BMW Championship at Cog Hill in Lemont will go on sale Friday for $25 ($20 off the regular price) through Dec. 31. Other ticket options also will be available. The golf tournament is scheduled for Sept. 6-12. Information and tickets are available at www.BMWChampionshipUSA.com or by phone at (847) 724-4600.

FASHIONABLE WORKOUT

FLIPPING FOR MODEL JORDON

Quick Hits went to a fashion show Monday night, and a gymnastics meet broke out.

OK, not really.

But Jori Jordon almost stole the show from designer Indashio -- of VH1 ''Glam God'' fame -- at the Signature Room of the John Hancock Center to display his latest creations.

Her gyrations caused something of a sensation as she warmed up the crowd in her Josephine Baker-inspired outfit. She flipped her way down the runway and was anything but a flop.

''I was a gymnast,'' she told Quick Hits after the event. ''Oak Park-River Forest.''

Jordon has moved on from gymnastics and Chicago to performing, acting, choreography and New York. Her performance was anything but a flop and almost caused the show to stop.

Quick Hits is focusing on her because yours truly's knowledge of fashion is even worse than it is of sports -- as difficult as that might be to believe.

SIGNIFICANT OTHERS

QUINN'S GOT GAME, AND SO DOES ROSE

Brady Quinn apparently can complete a pass -- off the field.

For proof, there's gymnast Alicia Sacramone, who was on the U.S. team that took the silver medal at the 2008 Olympics.

In an interview with USA Gymnastics, the 21-year-old, who is living in Boston, was asked about recently attending Cleveland Browns games. Maybe there was some concern about her sanity.

''I have become a Football fan,'' she said. ''I was always a Football fan but never into it too much until now. I'm dating Brady Quinn [the Browns quarterback], so I travel to Cleveland on Sunday afternoons for home games.''

Has Brady visited Sacramone (they met at a charity event through a mutual friend) at the gym?

''No,'' she said, ''but he said he's excited to come to a gymnastics meet.''

- For those inquiring minds, the name of Pete Rose's apparent girlfriend is Kiana Kim. He's hoping she will appear in Playboy magazine. No, Quick Hits does not make up this stuff. No need to.

TENPIN TOPPLERS

CHARITY ROLL UP HAWKS' ALLEY

Having won seven games in a row, the Blackhawks definitely are on a roll.

It's a roll that coincides, in part, with the Hawks going on a bowling roll for Brent Seabrook's second annual ICE Bowl on Nov.14.

Seabrook even scored the game-winning goal the next night.

''It was nice,'' he told Quick Hits of the outing to 10pin Bowling Lounge that benefitted the Inner City Education Program. ''The boys had fun. We were supporting a great cause.''

Leading the way was Troy Brouwer with a 160 score.

Is he ready to go on the pro tour?

''I think so,'' he said. ''The guys in the [locker] room know it's not a mystery that I'm pretty good at everything. I usually win all the Ping-Pong games. They won't let me play cards anymore because I win every time.''

As for being in bowling shape?

''The last time I practiced was at last season's bowling event,'' Brouwer said.

Any gutter balls?

''Probably one or two, but I don't remember those,'' he said. ''I just remember the strikes.''

''He's good at everything, whether it's video games, bowling, useless card games,'' teammate Jonathan Toews said. ''He just finds a way to win, so it's frustrating. I thought I was doing pretty good, and Sharpie [Patrick Sharp] came from behind and beat me by one point [135-134]. He had the bumpers on his lanes, though. That doesn't really count.''
